PLANNED GIVING

Forever Home Pack Planned Giving

Including The Pet Cottage in your estate plan is a profound way of ensuring that we will always have resources to fulfill our promise that every pet who comes into our program will always have a home.

For more information on the Forever Home Pack, please contact:

For specific information regarding your estate plan, we recommend you consult your financial advisor or attorney.

Through planned giving, you can make a meaningful difference in the lives of pets who lose their humans to death, disability, or deployment for years to come.

The Forever Home Pack honors those who have included The Pet Cottage in their estate plans, it is because of this thoughtful commitment by pet lovers that we will have a secure future for our pets.

Bequests

Through a provision in your will, you can gift The Pet Cottage a percentage or a specific amount of money from your estate. These gifts, known as bequests, are the simplest and most common planned giving vehicles. If your estate is subject to estate tax, your gift is entitled to an estate tax charitable deduction for the gift’s full value.

Contact your attorney or financial advisor for more information on the best way for you to participate.

Most assets pass to your intended beneficiaries by the terms of your will. However, other assets, such as retirement plans (401Ks and IRAs, etc) and life insurance are not controlled by the terms of your will and can easily be designated to The Pet Cottage simply by filling out a “change of beneficiary form” provided by your plans administrator.
